Voyager Mini Fridge Performance on USB Power

All our medical-grade travel coolers are laboratory tested to ensure reliable performance.

When connected to a power source, the Voyager Portable Refrigerator maintains a consistent fridge-like temperature between 2–8°C, continuously and for unlimited time, provided the ambient temperature does not exceed 35°C.

This ensures stable, dependable refrigeration for insulin and other temperature-sensitive medications.

Voyager Mini Fridge Performance with Cold Packs

When used without power during off-grid travel, the Voyager portable refrigerator for insulin continues to provide reliable cooling. Performance will vary depending on the outside temperature.

🌡️ At an ambient temperature of 30°C, it keeps insulin and medications refrigerated between 2–8°C for 33 hours, and cool below 26°C for 52 hours.

🌡️ At an ambient temperature of 35°C, it keeps insulin and medications refrigerated between 2–8°C for 30 hours, and cool below 26°C for 48 hours.

🌡️ At an ambient temperature of 40°C, it keeps insulin and medications refrigerated between 2–8°C for 28 hours, and cool below 26°C for 46 hours.

The Voyager Portable Insulin Fridge - Mini Refrigerator for Medication is incredibly versatile. It offers two cooling methods to keep your medication refrigerated with or without power, fitting any travel situation. Here’s how to use it:

USB-Powered Refrigeration

1️⃣ Load Your Medications: Place your insulin pens, vials, or syringes inside the insulated compartment.

2️⃣ Connect to Power: Secure the USB cooling lid and plug it into a power source.

3️⃣ Monitor the Temperature: Use the digital temperature display to check the internal temperature in your mini medical fridge and ensure it remains within the recommended range.

The USB mini fridge is compatible with any USB power source such as a power bank, wall outlet, car cigarette lighter, or solar panel. This feature makes it ideal for home use, long-haul flights, road trips, and off-grid travel in Australia and beyond!

Cooling Packs Refrigeration

For situations where power is unavailable, such as outdoor adventures, flights, or emergency scenarios, the Voyager travel fridge comes with an alternative Biogel cold pack cooling method to keep medications refrigerated.

To use:

1️⃣ Prepare the Biogel Cold Pack: Shake it to evenly distribute the gel, then freeze for at least 6-8 hours before use.

2️⃣ Thaw Before Use: Submerge the frozen pack in lukewarm tap water for 2-3 minutes to prevent accidental freezing of medications.

3️⃣ Load the Fridge: Place your insulin pens, vials, or syringes inside alongside the frozen Biogel pack.

4️⃣ Secure and Seal: Close the Voyager tightly to maintain internal cooling.

Maintenance & Cleaning Instructions

❌ When used with the USB-LID, the Voyager mini fridge cannot be used upside down. 

❌ The heat dissipation holes above the USB-LID should not be covered or blocked. If you do not follow this precaution, the cooling effect will weaken and the cooler will break down.

💨 Every few weeks, you can use an air compressor or hairdryer set to cool setting to blow air into the dissipation holes of the USB-Lid to remove the dust inside. This will extend the product's life span and ensure optimal performance.

We highly suggest that you unplug the USB-Cooling LID for 15-20 minutes to rest after 4 days of continuous use in order to extend the product's life expectancy.

Cleaning instructions:

❌ Do not directly clean the exterior of the Voyager with water, as it will damage electronic components.

✅ You can use a damp cloth to gently wipe the stainless steel thermos and the stainless steel LID by hand.

✅ ⁠The Biogel-Ice Pack should be cleaned only with a soft cloth.

💨 ⁠The top part of the USB-LID can be cleaned only by blowing air into the dissipation holes, while the aluminum tube can only be wiped with a soft cloth.

⁠If there are any oxidation marks on the surface of the USB-Lid's aluminum tube, wipe and clean it with aluminum cleaner. As its material is aluminum with good thermal conductivity, oxidation is a normal phenomenon.
